“Connect to Outlook” and “open with explorer” Disabled in Chrome – SharePoint 2013

I am running into a strange issue.

“Connect to Outlook” and “open with explorer” is disabled in Chrome but enabled in IE 8 32bit as well as 64 bit.

this articles says “Minimal Download Strategy” should be disabled , I checked in my case it is disabled , I even restarted webClient services , checked ActiveX control, but still the functionality doesnt work in Chrome.

is this a browser compatible issue ?? please help!
