About Collab365

AI changed the work. So we rebuilt Collab365.

We spent years helping Microsoft 365 professionals keep up. When AI made static libraries too slow, we built Spaces: a practical system for spotting blockers, researching solutions, and showing people what to do next.

The Collab365 team in Buxton when the AI disruption became real

The moment it got real

The weekend ChatGPT made the old plan feel too slow.

That is the honest reason Spaces exists. We had to solve the same problem our members were about to face.

What changed

Spaces is the rebuild

Old question

How do I use this tool?

That was useful when work changed slowly and the software waited for humans to catch up.

New pressure

AI changes the job itself.

People now need to know what changed, what it breaks, what to trust, and what to do next.

What we built

Spaces for the work people actually do.

Each Space watches a role, names the blockers, researches solutions, and turns them into practical next steps.

community roots

small team, global reach

We are not trying to be another content archive.

Collab365 used to help people understand Microsoft tools. That work still matters, but AI changed the pressure. The hard part is no longer finding another explanation.

The hard part is knowing what the change means for your role, your team, your data, your customers, and the decisions you now have to make.

AI makes old skills decay faster.

Software features arrive before teams know how to use them safely.

Every role feels the same change in a different way.

A giant pile of content can still leave people stuck.

From Microsoft 365 community to Spaces.

The story matters because Spaces is not a branding exercise. It is the result of a real business having to rethink how people keep up when work starts changing every week.

2007

SharePoint software roots

Collab365 grew from Collaboris, where we built products such as DocRead and DocSurvey for SharePoint teams.

2014

A global Microsoft community

SP24 proved we could gather people around real Microsoft 365 problems, not just publish another set of tutorials.

2020

The old model still worked

The old member platform helped thousands of people make sense of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Teams, and SharePoint.

2022

AI changed the question

ChatGPT made the old assumption obvious: people did not only need more content. They needed help deciding what mattered.

Now

Spaces is the rebuild

We rebuilt Collab365 around role-specific intelligence, problem research, human review, Blueprints, and Boards.

Useful help starts with the messy work problem.

A topic list is easy to publish. A useful Space is harder. It has to keep watching the work, spot the same blockers people are hitting, and turn that signal into something a person or team can actually use.

See the research method

Start with the blocker

A Space begins with the problem landing in a role, not with a topic list someone hopes will stay useful.

Research before publishing

AI helps us move faster, but the work still needs checking, judgement, and practical context before members rely on it.

Turn signal into assets

Useful findings become briefings, focused courses, AI-ready Blueprints, or Boards when a group needs one shared path.

Keep the path visible

For teams, the owner can curate from Spaces, share a Board, and see whether people are moving through it.

One company story. Three practical outputs.

Spaces is the product. Blueprints and Boards are two of the ways we turn research into something people can use without getting lost.

Spaces

Role-based environments for the people dealing with AI and automation change at work.

Blueprints

Paste-ready spec packets that give AI the context, rules, checks, and tests it needs before it helps build.

Boards

Curated paths through the right material, so individuals and teams do not have to browse everything.

Family-run. Founder-led. Built for the speed AI demands.

Collab365 is run by husband-and-wife team Helen and Mark Jones. That is not a limitation; it is the operating model. The people making the promises are also close to the research, the product decisions, and the member feedback.

No handoff between the story and the product. We are building the system we wish we had when the old model stopped making sense.
